Batik Marunda Coach, Irma Gamal Sinurat appreciated Batik Marunda promotion through fashion show at Jakarta International Performing Arts (JakIPA) that displayed various batik collections created by housewives who live in public housings.

"We display 10 collections of casual clothes, business attire, and leisure clothing for women and men. We are quite surprised because in this big event, they appreciate our works and it feels amazing," she asserted, Monday (11/18).

"These patterns are still new and we want to develop and promote it as a souvenir," he mentioned.
Furthermore, there is also Jakarta city panoramic pattern in Batik Marunda collection.
"We want to make special pattern that is modern and tells stories about Jakarta," she expressed.
She conveyed that herself is proud with Batik Marunda crafters whose works displayed in this cross-cultural art and culture event.
"We are proud to be participated in this event because Batik Marunda has Jakarta's characteristic. It is the perfect moment to promote Jakarta's potential to the public," she stated.
